TWO days after the oil price hike, consumers and the public in general have to take another blow with the implementation of price increase in liquified petroleum gas (LPG) for cooking as well as in auto-LPG yesterday.
Petron Corporation spearheaded the implementation of the increase in prices of Fiesta gas pegged at P12.65 per 12 kilogram of LPG tank. Likewise auto-LPG increased by P0.65 per liter.
Raffy Ledesama, com-munications officer of Petron, said the increase took effect at 6 a.m. yesterday.
He added that the increase was due to movement of prices of LPG in the world market.
Other LPG producing companies have yet to announce their increase.
Last Aug. 30, oil companies implemented a third round of oil price hike for this month pegged at P0.50 per liter in pump prices of gasoline, P0.15 in diesel and P0.20 in kerosene.
The third oil price increase this month came a week after the implementation of big-time oil price hike of P1.45 per liter increase in pump prices both in diesel and kerosene while P1.35 in gasoline.
