KINUMPIRA ng National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) na may kaso nga ang napaslang na hostage-taker na si Noel Orate Sr.
Ayon sa criminal history report ng NBI, napag-alaman na isang homicide complaint ang nakasampa laban kay Orate bago pa man ito mabaril at mapaslang sa isang hostage-taking incident noong Peb. 10 ngayong taon.
Base sa report, isang Belinda Belisario ang nagreklamo ng kasong pagpatay laban kay Orate. Bukod sa homicide, inireklamo rin ni Belisario si Orate ng illegal possession of firearms.
Si Belinda ang pinaniniwalaang ina ng magkapatid na sina Dennis at Olga Belisario na lumantad kamakailan upang ibunyag na matagal nang may warrant of arrest si Orate dahil sa pagpatay nito sa kanilang ama na si Agapito Belisario sa Zamboanga City noong March 24, 1993.
“Pinatay ni Orate ang tatay ko. Sa harap ko pa niya binaril,” ani Dennis.
Nauna rito, sinabi ni Olga sa kanyang blog sa ABS-CBN website noong Feb. 12, 2012 na binaril ni Orate ang kanilang ama ng limang beses hanggang mapatay ito. Mismong ang anak pa nito na si Noel Orate Jr. ang nag-abot ng baril sa kanyang tatay bago paslangin ang nakatatandang Belisario, ayon kay Olga.
“Noel Orate Sr. killed my father last March 24, 1993. Noel Orate Jr. was the one who handed the gun to his father and shot my father five times, ending his life,” pahayag ni Belisario sa kanyang blog.
Dahil dito, lumakas umano ang paniwala na may kakayahan si Orate na maging marahas kung kaya’t nagawa nitong i-hostage ang pamilya Daza noong Feb. 10, 2012.
“At least hindi unlikely ’yung sinasabi namin na may violent tendencies si Orate,” pahayag ng abogado ng pamilya Daza na si Atty. Fred Villamor.
Base sa mga report, depressed si Orate bago maganap ang hostage-taking incident sa tahanan ng dati nitong kasintahan na si dating Congresswoman Nenatte Castelo-Daza. Gusto umanong makipagbalikan ni Orate kay Daza ngunit nabigo ito.
Nabaril at napatay ni Bulacan Provincial Board Member Allan Robes si Orate sa nasabing hostage-taking upang ipagtanggol ang sarili, ang dating mambabatas, at ang buntis nitong asawa na si Quezon City Councilor Jessica Daza.
