NASUNOG ang ilang kabahayan sa squatters’ area sa San Andres Bukid, Maynila, kahapong alas-10:18 ng umaga.
Wala namang naiulat na nasawi o nasugatan sa sunog.
Naapula ang sunog ng mga rumespondeng bumbero. Sa initial report mula sa Manila Fire District, naiulat na under control na ito ng 11:19 a.m.
Nilamon ng apoy ang ilang barung-barong sa nasabing lugar.
Ang sunog ay nagsimula sa isang bahay sa 2530 Granate Street. Mabilis na kumalat ang apoy dahil gawa lamang ang mga bahay sa mga materyales na madaling masunog.
Kasalukuyan namang inaalam pa ng mga fire investigators ang sanhi ng sunog at kung magkano ang halaga ng mga napinsalang ari-arian. Robelle John Valencia
