‘Salvage’ victim rotting

A suspected victim of summary execution was found in Quezon City early Friday morning.

Officer-on-case PO2 Alvin Quisumbing described the victim as between 40 and 45 years old, of medium built, and 5’7” in height.

Quisumbing believes that the victim is a “Sputnik Gang” member because of the tattoo “Sputnik Boy Niar” inscribed on his back.

He added that the victim might have been previously detained in jail since a person can only become a member of the gang in detention.

The investigator said the victim was discovered by a bystander identified as Vicente Caro at around 6 a.m. on Upsilon Drive near the corner of South Zusuaregui, Bgy. Old Balara.

Caro said he was walking in the area when he noticed a black garbage bag.

Out of curiosity, Caro opened the trash bag and was shocked to find a dead body inside.

Quisumbing said there were three padded garbage bags that hold the body.

The victim’s body which bore multiple punctured wounds was tied with a long nylon cord up to the neck.
