Mystery shrouds the death of a businessman whose decomposing body was found inside his comfort room yesterday morning in Caloocan City.
Investigators said they could not point to robbery as motive behind the murder of Henry Fabon, 54, of Block 18-D17 Miramonte Park West, Bgy. 180, because his wallet containing P5,560 was found near his body.
Probers could not also back up the belief of Fabon’s friends that he committed suicide because the two fan knives that were discovered at the crime scene had no traces of blood.
Police said the victim’s body was already in the early stage of decomposition when it was found by his friend, Jesus Barongao, sitting inside his comfort room at 3 a.m.
Barongao sought the assistance of the barangay officials when Fabon failed to open his door.
They said Fabon could have been dead for two to three days when found.
