EIGHT domestic flights were cancelled yesterday as a result of a low pressure area (LPA) affecting parts of Southern Luzon.    

As of yesterday afternoon, the Media Affairs Division at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport recorded eight cancelled flights between Manila and Busuanga in Palawan.

Cebu Pacific cancelled two turnaround flights between Manila and Busuanga that included flight 5J785, 5J786, 5J787 and 5J788.

Philippine Airlines also cancelled its turnaround flight service to Busuanga due to the bad weather condition in the area.

This, as Air Philippines cancelled flight 2P967 and 2P968 -- which is their flight service to Busuanga.

The management of the said airline companies stated that all passengers affected by the flight cancellations will be accommodated in the next available flights as soon as the weather in the affected area improves.    Itchie G. Cabayan
