2 ‘lawmen’ hunted

TWO men, said to be cops, are now being hunted down after two young men accused them of punching one of them and pointing their guns at them while they were in front of a bar in Malate, Manila, all because of a ‘bad stare.’

In their complaint lodged before the Manila Police District (MPD)-General Assignment Section (GAS), victims Don Galimba, 24, and Manuel Cantil, 26, both of Quirino Avenue, also in Malate, told PO3 Gilbert Isole that the incident took place at around 7 a.m. in front of the Ermas Bar on Adriatico St.

The victims said their group and that of the two ‘cops’ were drinking in separate tables inside the bar when both sides exchanged dagger looks, until the suspects’ group left ahead of the rest.

When the victims got out of the bar, they were confronted by the said  suspects who introduced themselves as policemen. One of the suspects pointed his gun at Galimba while the other suspect punched Cantil in the face.

Isole said an investigation is underway to establish the identities of the suspects who happen to be regular customers in the said bar.
