A BOARD member of Bulacan and husband of a Quezon City councilor landed behind bars after he allegedly shot dead the live-in partner of his mother in-law, former Congw. Nanette Castelo-Daza, inside her house in Barangay Teacher's Village East Friday night.
Homicide chief Supt. Rodelio Marcelo identified the suspect as Allan Robes, 38, board member of San Jose del Monte City and husband of councilor Jessica Daza.
Robes is now detained at the Quezon City Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit after he allegedly killed Noel Orate, 55, manager of the United Laboratories.
Orate was reportedly a live-in partner of former Rep. Daza
Case officer SPO1 Joselito Gagaza said the incident happened past 11 p.m. inside the house of the former lawmaker on 51 Maningning St., Barangay Teacher's Village East.
QCPD-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit head Supt. Rodelio Marcelo said Rep. Daza called for police assistance at 10:45 p.m. due to an ongoing commotion at her house.
Responding policemen Sr. Insp. Gloriano Manalo and PO2 Wenzel Nojor of station 9 responded and heard successive gun shots as they approached the house.
In their affidavit, Manalo and Nojor said they saw the suspect, who later turned out to be Robes, coming out of the house holding a gun.
Robes immediately dropped the gun upon seeing the lawmen and surrendered peacefully.
Police said they will subject to paraffin tests all persons who were inside the house when the crime happened, particularly Robes, including his wife Jessica, ex-Rep. Nanette Daza, her son and the housemaids.
The Dazas refused to tell police what really happened between the suspect and the victim. They said their lawyers will handle everything.
