THE National Capital Region-Land Transportation Office (NCR-LTO) has scheduled a public bidding for disposable unclaimed, apprehended, recovered impounded public utility vehicles such as taxi, jeepney, bus, motorcycle and likes.
Atty. Teofilo “Jojo” Guadiz III, director of NCR-LTO, said all necessary documents including Internal Rules and Regulations have been ready with the guidance of Commission on Audit-Internal Auditor.
Guadiz said under the existing rules and regulations all impounded vehicles that remain unclaimed by the real owners after six months onward will be considered abandoned and shall be disposed of in a public auction.
The vehicles are impounded at the NCR-LTO Northern and Southern Motor Vehicle Inspection Center compound in East Avenue Quezon City and Pasay Road in Pasay City.
The bidding will be supervised by officials of NCR-LTO headed by Angie Fradiquela and representatives from the (COA).
Fradiquela said her office has already processed all the necessary documents which they forwarded to COA for appreciation.
Those impounded with existing cases being heard in our Adjudication Board and other courts are not included in the auctions, Fadriquela said. Jun Icban Legaspi
