Man ran over by truck

A man died after he was ran over by a dump truck in Quezon City Thursday afternoon.

Traffic investigator PO3 Ferdinand Paglinawan identified the victim as Rhandy Gamilong, 29, of Novaliches, Quezon City.

Paglinawan said Gamilong died in front of the SM Novaliches mall entrance located along Quirino Highway, Bgy. Gulod, Novaliches.

Gamilong, who was driving a Honda XRM motorcycle (8953TB), was declared dead on arrival at the Bernardino Hospital.

Meanwhile, three other persons were also hurt, including tricycle driver Richard Quinto, 54, and his passengers Eduardo dela Cruz, 52, and Albert dela Cruz, 21.

The three were taken to the Novaliches District Hospital for treatment.

Paglinawan learned that Quinto was driving his motorcycle (6537UE) along P. Dela Cruz St. when he took a left turn along Quirino Highway.

While making a left turn, Gamilong suddenly smashed into the tricycle.

Because of the impact, Quinto was thrown off his motorcycle and landed underneath a passing Izusu dump truck (TGD-769) driven by Lolito Cruz.
