A WOMAN died while her three minor children were seriously injured after their neighbor stabbed them following an argument over the suspect’s refusal to pay his debt in Caloocan City, yesterday morning.
Case officer SPO1 Joselito Barredo Jr., of the Station Investigation Division (SID) of the Caloocan City police, said Anna Agullo, of Reparo St., Libis, Baesa, Caloocan City, was declared dead on arrival at the Manila Central University Hospital (MCUH) due to multiple stab wounds in the body.
Her children Justine Ann, 15, Alvin Jun, 13, and Alter Jun, 11, were also brought to the same hospital where they are still undergoing operation as of press time yesterday for multiple stab wounds in their bodies.
Barredo said the suspect, Ivanlou Climaco, 28, escaped after the incident. He will be charged with murder and three counts of frustrated murder before the Caloocan City Prosecutor’s Office.
Agullo’s sister, Lucy Alejandro, said the victim went to the suspect’s house Sunday to collect the payment for his debt.
The suspect allegedly fumed when Agullo demanded for her money until they argued. The victim left when she felt that he would not pay her anymore.
Wanting to get back at the victim, Barredo said the suspect barged into the victims’ house at 4:30 a.m., and took a knife from Agullos’ kitchen. He went straight to Anna’s room and stabbed her in the stomach.
Despite her injury, Anna was able to run and hide at the back of their videoke. The suspect saw her and stabbed her repeatedly in the back and different parts of her body.
Climaco proceeded to the children’s room and stabbed them while asleep. He then fled.
