2 gunned down in QC beauty parlor

TWO men shot dead two persons in front of a beauty parlor in Quezon City on Sunday night.

Investigators of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (QCPD-CIDU) identified the victims as electrician Margarito Insaw, 75, of 043 Filinvest Road 1, and welder Erwin Alapao, 35, of 29 Dios St., Luzvinminda Village,  both of Bgy. Batasan Hills, Quezon City.

Investigator SPO1 Gregorio Maramag said that Alapao and Insaw died on the spot at around 10:30 p.m. in front of the Jostar Dress Shop located along Filinvest Road 1, Bgy. Batasan Hills.

Maramag quoted witnesses as saying two unidentified men were involved in the attack and were believed armed with cal. .45 and 9mm handguns.

Police were able to recover at the crime scene three empty cartridges for cal. .45 and four shells for 9mm pistol.

Witnesses told police that Insaw was sitting in front of the dress shop when the suspects approached the victim.

Without warning, the two suspects started shooting Insaw who died on the spot.

Alapao was inside a junkshop nearby when he heard the gunshots and went out to check.

When he saw the two suspects running away from the victim, Alapao ran after the gunmen.

However, one of the suspects saw Alapao and shot him.

Alapao was hit in the left side of his torso and died on the spot.

Meanwhile, earlier that night at around 9:05 p.m., tricycle driver Florencio Campo, 61, of Pinagkaisa St., Bgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City, was shot and killed on Aloe Vera St., Bgy. Commonwealth.

Mokein Pancoga, a resident of the area, told police that he was inside her house when she heard successive shots outside.

Pancoga went out to check and was shocked to find Campo, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds, aboard his tricycle already dead.
