AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD boy suffered injuries when he fell off from his school service in Quezon City yesterday.
Police said Joshua Bao-Bao, 8, was brought to East Avenue Medical Center but is now in stable condition.
A report from the Quezon City Police District’s Traffic Sector 6 showed the incident happened around 6 a.m. at the intersection of North and Mindanao Avenues.
Bao-Bao, a resident of Sitio San Roque in Bgy. Bagong Pag-asa, was onboard the school service -- a jeepney driven by Benito Julianes -- and was on his way to school when the mishap occurred.
Traffic investigator Senior Police Officer 2 Reynaldo Patiag said the jeepney was cruising North Avenue and took a right turn at Mindanao Avenue when the boy fell off the vehicle when its rear door swung open.
Patiag said the driver of the school service would be charged with reckless imprudence resulting in physical injuries. Melnie Ragasa-Jimena
