4 thieves kill trader, stab wife, helper


FOUR unidentified robbers barged into a laundry shop in Sta. Cruz, Manila and killed its owner said to be a Chinese national, stabbed his wife and their child’s nanny, and abducted the  couple’s  four-year-old son yesterday morning.   Homicide chief Senior Insp. Joey de Ocampo identified the fatality as Calvin  Chioa, 35, owner of the Bulls Eye Laundry Shop located on  1604  Yakal Street, Sta. Cruz.

Chioa’s wife Charlene, 34,  was rushed to the hospital along with their child and the boy’s nanny, whose names were not immediately available as of press time.

Case officer SPO4 Virgo Villareal said the victims were found bloodied and unconscious inside their shop at 5 a.m.                

Calvin reportedly fight off the suspects but was stabbed several times.

Two other housemaids were found hogtied inside the shop although they were unharmed.

The suspects took with them the couple’s son identified as Nate whom they later abandoned.

The boy was found loitering on Alvarez Street also in Sta. Cruz district

Police said the suspects fled in a white Toyota Corolla which they abandoned on Alvarez Street.

Authorities eye the possibility of “inside job” since there were no signs of forcible entry.
