Pusher killed in clash

A suspected drug pusher was killed in an armed encounter with police operatives during anti-illegal drug operation on Carmelite Road, Bgy. Concepcion, San Pablo City, Laguna, yesterday morning.

Supt. Raynold Rosero, city police chief, said the slain suspect, identified as Ronald Pasco, of Bgy. Santa Maria, this city, was reportedly included in the high-value target (HVT) list of the police station for his illegal drug activities within the city and nearby barangays.
Yesterday, operatives of San Pablo police conducted a buy-bust operation with PDEA control number at 4:30 a.m. A poseur was transacting with the suspect on Carmelite Road in Bgy. Concepcion for shabu.
After the suspect received the mark money from the poseur, he noticed that the latter is a policeman so he drew his cal. .38 revolver and shot the officer but missed. The officer retaliated, killing the suspect.
Police recovered at the crime scene a cal. .38 revolver and a sling pouch.
