Trader-cum-drug pusher shot dead

ABRA -- A businessman listed on the watchlist of La Paz Municipal Police Station and categorized as pusher was shot dead by unidentified suspects at around 7:15 a.m. the other day at Calaba Bridge, Bgy. Calaba, Bangued town.

Police identified the victim as Esperdion Alcan-tara Blaza Jr., 30, married, businessman, of Bgy. Mudeng, La Paz.

The Yamaho Mio motorcycle-riding victim was traversing along the Calaba Bridge at the boundary of Bgy. Calaba and Bgy. Mudeng, Bangued, heading towards Bangued town proper when shot successively by unidentified riding-in-tandem suspects.

The victim was rushed to Abra Provincial Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival by attending physician Dr. Rolex Gonzales.

A Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) team processed the crime scene and recovered five fired cartridges for cal. .45. Police are conducting follow-up investigation into the killing.
