PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa yesterday confirmed arguments between the police organization, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) over the third narco list of President Rodrigo Duterte.
“Yes there are some issues like that. Pwede yun nga nagbabanggaan yung source so, yung iba binavalidate,” Dela Rosa said.
He explained that the arguments were just part of the process of authenticating the involvement of each individual on the narco list before it was given to the President.
He said this only shows that the law enforcement agencies against illegal drugs continue to validate the information for the third “narco-list” before the President releases it to the public.
The Chief PNP stressed that the President want to ensure that the information linking the officials and other personalities in the list are accurate.
Dela Rosa also assured the public that there were no cover-ups and “we are one in the war against drugs.”
He cited one bone of argument an individual identified by the PNP as a pusher but whom another agency said was its asset.
”That would tend to make everyone involved in this war on drugs united.
Earlier, the President apologized to Rep. Amado Espino, Pangasinan board member Raul Sison and former provincial administrator Raffy Baraan for erroneously linking them to the alleged drug trade activities at the New Bilibid Prisons in which former Justice Secretary and now Senator Leila De Lima was also implicated.
