CAMP Olivas, Pampanga -- While praising the policemen and policewomen who are doing their jobs very well, Philippine National Police chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa also warned men-in-uniform who are involved in drugs and crime to repent and change.
During the anniversary of the Police Regional Office 3 here yesterday, Dela Rosa said he will not hesitate to apply the full force of the law against any police officer who will be found involved in illegal drugs and other crimes.
“Kaya binibigyan ko kayo ng pagkakataon nga-yon na magbago at mamuhay nang malinis. Kapag hindi kayo umayos at hindi itinigil ang masama ninyong gawain, hindi ako mangingiming i-apply sa inyo ang full force of the law. Ako ang magiging kalaban ninyo,” he said.
The PNP chief, accompanied by PRO3 director Chief Supt. Aaron Aquino, led the giving of plaques of appreciation and awards to outstanding police offices and officers and other groups and individuals who provided support to the PNP’s campaign against illegal drugs and criminality.
Dela Rosa also led the ground-breaking for the regional “Bahay Pagasa” drug rehabilitation building inside this police camp located in the City of San Fernando.
During the press conference, he said policemen would receive additional compensation this year and next year, as he challenged them to work harder for the protection of the citizens.
