A 40-year-old computer technician was killed in front of his family by two armed men believed to be members of vigilante group “Caloocan Death Squad” shortly after midnight yesterday in Caloocan City.

Jomari Gomo, of Phase 9, Package 9, Block 108, Excess Lot, Bgy. 176, Bagong Silang, died on the spot from gunshot wounds in the head and body while the suspects, wearing bonnets and face masks, immediately escaped aboard two waiting motorcycles driven by their cohorts.
Caloocan acting police chief Supt. Ferdie del Rosario said Gomo was already sleeping inside his abode, together with his family, when the suspects forcibly barged in by destroying the wooden front door at 12:20 a.m. and shot the victim twice in the head and body, killing him instantly.
Elements of the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) recovered at the crime scene an empty shell and a deformed slug for caliber .45 pistol which will be submitted to PNP Crime Laboratory for ballistic examination.
Homicide investigators were able to gather information from residents in the area that the victim has been involved in illegal drug activities.
