Caramat said members of the San Jose del Monte City Police Station, headed by Supt. Wilson Magpali, engaged De la Rama in a shootout in Bgy. Minuyan Proper at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday. After the suspect sensed the entrapment operation, he drew a firearm and fired at the poseur.

The other suspects yielded 13 small heat-sealed plastic sachets with the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine.’

In Norzagaray, policemen under Supt. Rizalino Andaya shot dead ‘Moymoy’ after he traded fire with the lawmen conducting the buy-bust operation in Bgy. Bitungol shortly before 2 a.m. yesterday.

In Cebu, Barangay Kagawad Francis Eric Dacua, 39, of Bgy. Hingatmonan, Balamban town, was arrested at 8 a.m. the other day inside his house allegedly for possession of illegal drugs.

Elements of the Balamban Police Station went to the house of the suspect to implement a search warrant issued by a court.
