THREE alleged drug suspects were killed reportedly in two separate buy-bust operations conducted in Manila the other night.
Investigation by SPO3 Milbert Balinggan of the Manila Police District (MPD)-Crimes Against Persons Investigation Section (CAPIS) said the operation took place at around 8:10 p.m. and resulted in the shooting death of Marlon Batu-yong, 45, of 705 Maliklik St., Tondo, Manila, and Reagan dela Cruz, 25.
Police said Batuyong and Dela Cruz were shot in an encounter with operatives from the Station Anti-Illegal Drugs-Special Operations Task Unit (SAID-SOTU) of the MPD-Station 7, during a buy-bust operation at the shanty of Bantuyong.
Allegedly, they shot it out with the police and got hit in the chest, causing their instantaneous death.
Confiscated from them were a cal. .22 gun, a .38 cal. revolver, three plastic sachets of shabu and the marked money which was used in the buy-bust.
Batuyong’s live-in partner, Lorna Mitra, was arrested.
At 9:45 p.m., suspect Joselito Rufino, 40, said to be a member of the ‘Batang City Jail’, was also shot dead in an alleged buy-bust operation conducted by the SAID-SOTU of the MPD-Station 10 at the house of Rufino at 1180 Kahilum 2, Pandacan, Manila.
Rufino reportedly sensed that the buyer was a cop so he took out a gun and tried to resist but was outgunned by the police. Recovered from him was a cal. .38 gun and five sachets of shabu.
