THE head of the Land Transportation Office in Region 6 cheated death after unidentified motorcycle-riding men hurled a grenade at his residence in Iloilo City yesterday morning.

No one was hurt or killed in the explosion but LTO region 6 Director Gerard Camiña received a text message warning him to stop conducting “Baklas Plaka” or he and his men will suffer.

Reports said an MK2 grenade exploded at the gate of Camiña’s residence in Barangay Santa Felomina, Arevalo before noon.

Two weeks ago, LTO men conducted a massive “Baklas Plaka” campaign in Kalibo, Aklan.

Police believe the suspects were among those affected by the operation.
