NOW it can be told why for a time ay panay ang pagsasalita ni Jericho Rosales ng Ingles. To the point na na-accused siya of being a ‘trying hard’ dahil nga naman kahit kinakausap siya o tinatanong in Tagalog, ang sagot niya ay English pa rin.

All the while pala, kinukondisyon ang sarili sa pag-i-english. He was actually preparing himself para sa isang audition for an international movie. Which turned out to be the Hollywood flick Subject I Love You na ipinalabas last month sa Newport Beach Filmfest and got raves sa mga nakapanood ng pelikula.

In fact, balitang of the 400 or so films na kasali sa international filmfest, ang Subject I Love You lang ang naipalabas ng dalawang ulit.

Jericho obviously made an impact among the people behind the filmfest, so much so, they gave him a special award for Outstanding Achievement In Acting. Yes, for his role in the international movie.

Jericho worked with Hollywood actors Briana Evigan (of the international flick Step Up 2), Kristine Bauer (True Blood) at Dante Basco (Hook) in Subject I Love You.

Lahat, susog pa ni Jericho, ay actors na from Hollywood, except si Gary Valenciano who did a guest role sa movie.

Jericho is now, of course, being managed by Angeli Pangilinan, Gary’s wife.

Twenty nine years old pala si Coney Reyes when her marriage to cager Lawrence Mumar ended. Soon after, their marriage was annulled.

And the youngest, Vico with Bossing Vic Sotto.

Nag-graduate this school year si Vico ng Political Science from the Ateneo University. He will take up Law  sa U.P., according to Coney.

Coney is currently the star ng bagong bukas na series 100 Days To Heaven on ABS-CBN which also features child actress Xyriel Manabat.

Also in 100 Days directed by Malu Sevilla are Jodi Sta. Maria, Louise Abuel, Joel Torre, Dominic Ochoa, Valerie Concepcion, Rafael Rossel, Smokey Manoloto at Niel Coleta.

Not until lately, when the impact ng trailer, trailer pa lamang, ha, ng Aga Muh-lach at Angel Locsin star-rer In The Name Of Love, did Aga decide na imbitahan ang mga kaibi-gan na manood ng premiere ng movie.

“I have had very memorable films in the past. This one, I’d say, is one of my best.

“I thank Direk Olive (Lamasan) for patiently guiding me deliver my role. It’s a difficult role, I must admit. But very powerful,” ani Aga.

And what can he say about his two younger co-stars, Angel and Jake (Cuenca)?

“They both delivered,” sagot ni Aga. “Like me, maipagmamalaki nila ang performances nila sa pelikulang ito.

In The Name of Love is the 18th anniversary offering ng Star Cinema. Showing ang pelikula on May 11. Pero may premiere nga ito ngayong gabi.

Zsa Zsa Padilla is proud of her daughter Karylle and Zia, who are both becoming good and popular singers like her.

Though magkaiba ang ama ng dalawa, they treat  each other more than just like sisters but like friends, too.

Karylle is Zsa Zsa’s daughter to her first husband, dentist Modesto Tatlonghari. Ang ama naman ni Zia ay si Dolphy.

Both Karylle, together with Zsa Zsa, appear in the Sunday noontime show ASAP Rock on ABS-CBN.
