Cops probe worker’s fall from 3rd floor

INVESTIGATORS are determining if there was foul play behind the death of a construction worker who fell from the third floor of a townhouse being constructed in Quezon City on Saturday.

PO3 Randy Bantillo said the victim, Reflen Logatoc, 31, sustained a fatal skull fracture from the fall.

Bantillo said the victim fell at around 1 p.m. Saturday at the construction site of Dorothy Townhomes located at the corner of Kalayaan and K-1 Streets in Kamias.

Logatoc was still alive when rushed by co-workers to the East Avenue Medical Center (EMAC) but he succumbed later to injuries at around 11:10 p.m.

Fellow-construction worker Jessie Jacinto told police that he was with the victim on the third floor when the accident happened.

Jacinto said he was cutting some wires while the victim was preparing some wooden forms. However,  he noticed that the victim suddenly slipped.

The victim never regain his balance and fell to the ground floor where he landed on his head.  His foreman, Banjamin Ricohernano, and some fellow workers took him to the hospital.
