SECURITY forces were ordered to verify reports that Abu Sayyaf extremists yesterday grabbed two Chinese-Malaysians in Sabah and took them to their jungle hideout in Sulu, the newly-promo-ted director of the Autono-mous Region in Muslim Mindanao Police Regio-nal Office said yesterday. “Yes, we’re investiga-ting the reported incident,” said ARMM police director Chief Supt. Bienvenido Latag referring to still unconfirmed reports that boat-riding Abu Sayyaf gunmen snatched Chen Yun Chung and Lai Wong Chung in Siyangkat Island in Semporna, Sabah, Malaysia. Latag said he has ordered his men to verify the information that the extremists led by Albader Parad temporarily stopped to refuel in Sibutu, Tawi-Tawi before bringing their catch to Siasi, Sulu.
