A 56-YEAR old officer of the Department of Social Welfare and Development was seriously wounded in a gun attack in Sultan Kudarat Thursday.

Henry Albano, the DSWD Sultan Kudarat provincial officer was watching television inside his house in Purok Masagana, Kalawag 2 in Isulan Municipality when shot without any provocation by a lone gunmen at 6:35 p.m. last Thursday, a Police Regional Office 12 report said.

The victim sustained gunshot wounds in the stomach and right palm and was brought to the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Hospital for treatment.

PRO 12 director C/Supt. Gil Meneses said investigators recovered three spent caliber .45 cartridges, three .45 slugs and a pair of white slippers believed left by the assassin at the scene.

Meneses said the motive and identity of the suspect are still being investigated.    Alfred Dalizon
