Angeles City joins LCP confab

ANGELES City — Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan led city officials in attending the 3rd Philippine Cities Global Convention and Exposition held from Nov. 17 to 19 at the Resorts World Manila.

Pamintuan said this is the first time for Angeles City to participate in the event hosted by the League of Cities of the Philippines.

“This will be a good avenue to discuss urban issues and concerns, consult with the national government, seek new partnerships with development agencies and formulate policy agenda that would be beneficial for all LCP member cities,” he said.

Pamintuan, who is the LCP public relations officer, said his city had its official booth during the event.

“The expo participants had a glimpse of what the city has to offer – our food and products, services and recent achievements in local governance,” he said.

Themed “Bridging Cities, Transforming Lives,” the event tackled ways to attain the goals of the 2011-2016 Philippine Development Plan.

More than 900 delegates from the different cities here and abroad attended the activity, including LCP international development partners.
