GUNMEN riding in a red van hijacked a cargo truck loaded with 350 sacks of Purefoods flour worth P320,000 in San Jose, Batangas, Wednesday night.

A Police Regional Office 4-A report said the suspects flagged down the driver of the truck identified as Reyniel Munoz on the national road in Bgy. Sto. Cristo, San Jose, at 10 p.m. Wednesday.

One of the suspects drove the truck (UGG-724) while his cohorts guarded Munoz before dropping him in Balayan municipality.

PRO-4A director Chief Supt. Gil Meneses said a region-wide alarm has been flashed for the interception of the hijacked truck and its cargo.        Alfred Dalizon
