THE lifeless body of a 28-year-old woman was found inside a sealed plastic drum which was floating in the Pasig River near Palanca Street in Quiapo, Manila.
SPO3 Dennis Javier of the Manila Police District-Homicide Section said the body of Milabel Bayya, of 616 Aranga St., Sampaloc, Manila, was found floating around 8:30 a.m. yesterday.
Investigation showed she was last seen alive around 3 p.m. of November 9 by her sister Ana who said she was walking along Aranga Street going to an unknown destination.
Police suspect that she had been dead for four days already, since her body was already in an advanced state of decomposition. No injuries were found on the victim’s body.
Reportedly, the victim was arrested just last month for alleged involvement in a drug case.
Meanwhile, the body of a man who was shot three times in the head was dumped in Baseco Compound, Port Area, Manila, yesterday morning.
Homicide prober PO1 Giovanni Valera said victim Michael Ortiza, 40, of Gasangan Block 1, Baseco Compound was found by Rey Cuyugan, 42, as he passed by the area. The victim was lying face down with blood oozing from his face.
A thorough investigation is underway to solve these two cases.
