A THREE-YEAR-OLD girl died after a 20-footer container van ran over her and crushed her head Saturday in Caloocan City.

Mercy Loton told traffic investigators she did not know that her daughter Princess, of Block 10, Tanigue St., Bgy. 14, Caloocan City, followed her when she left their house for work at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

She said her daughter crossed the street and was hit by a speeding 20-footer container van with licensed plate RDZ-423.

However, its driver escaped and left the vehicle along Tanigue St., near the victim’s house.

Meanwhile, investigators said charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide will be filed against the driver. Police said they could still find out the identity of the driver from the owner of the container van.
