More classy and affordable

ACQUIRING a modest place to live these days  is just a dream for minimum wage earners. Current housing structures under financing scheme usually starts at P1.5 million – seemingly unaffordable to low-income workers.

But a leading real estate developer can make their dreams come true – a house and lot reasonably priced like a monthly urban rental.

For the first time, Ayala Land through its South Maya Ventures, Inc. undertakes social enterprise housing called Bella Vita in Gen. Trias, Cavite. for only P400,000 or a monthly installment of P2,500-P2,800 only.

“This is a major development part of Ayala Land, to make our housing more affordable, create enterprising communities, sustainable product and allow residents to experience the comfort of living,” said Antonio T. Aquino, President of Ayala Land.

He said Bella Vita is Ayala Land’s version of social enterprise housing project (a more upgraded level of low-cost housing in Metro) for ordinary families who dream to have their own quality home.

Construction of phase one will begin on December 4. Lyle Abadia, head of Bella Vita, said 602 units will be constructed with lot ranges from 35 – 65 square meter size in modern contemporary design.

“Our target market is those in CD bracket and small entrepreneurs and we encourage them to start investing for their future instead of renting monthly,” Abadia said. “Bella Vita is here to meet the back log in housing development and respond to the needs of more Filipino families for a more decent home. Sa halip na magrenta sila buwan-buwan, dito na lang sila, mas modern pa ang design.”

Like other Ayala Land properties, residents at Bella Vita are protected with 24-hour security, with “mallengke”, a counterpart of local talipapa where they can put up their business.

Despite being a socialized housing project of Ayala Land, Bobby Dy, Vice President of Ayala Land Executive said smart mason materials will be used which are stronger than conventional hollow blocks.

“We’ll be using smart mason materials. Kahit walang poste, buhos lahat ang paligid and the force can hold up to second floor but of course with certain guidelines para pareho-pareho ang itsura ng units,” he said.

Bella Vita, an Italian word meaning Beautiful Life, will be situated in 21 hectares at Bgry. Tapia, Gen. Trias, Cavite. A total of 1,378 units are expected upon completion of the project.

“Gusto naming bigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga residente na makahanap ng iba’t ibang negosyo na maaring makatulong sa kanilang patuloy-tuloy na pag-asenso sa buhay. And through Bella Vita, it’s about time to live the  life they’ve always wanted and stop wasting their money on monthly rentals that’s never going to be theirs,” Aquino adds.
