Cops’ pay hike

 

STARTING next month, all officers and men of the Philippine National Police led by Director General Raul M. Bacalzo will get a pay increase.

President Benigno Aquino III had ordered the salary increase in government service advanced from July to June.

Bacalzo will get a P10,000 salary increase which raises his total take home pay -- without deductions – to P57,500. Starting next month, members of the PNP will also get the first half of their 13th month pay.

The PNP Deputy Director General (3-star) who receives a monthly salary of P43,355 will get a P7,928 pay hike. Those with the rank of Director (2-star) who receive a monthly pay of P36,981 will get an increase of P6,891 while the Chief Superintendents (1-star) who receive a monthly salary of P34,655 will get a P6,175 pay hike.

The other salary adjustments are as follows:

Senior Superintendent (monthly salary of P32,485 plus an additional P5,518); Superintendent (monthly pay of P30,461 plus an additional P4,919); Chief Inspector (monthly salary of P28,572 plus a P44,370 increase); Senior Inspector (monthly salary of P27,190 plus a P4,061 pay hike); and Inspector (monthly salary of P25,338 plus a P3,501 increase).

The adjusted pay of the PNP Non-Commissioned Officers will be as follows:

Senior Police Officer 4 (P21,709 plus P2,858); Senior Police Officer 3 (P20,241 plus P2,576); Senior Police Officer 2 (P18,873 plus P2,320); Senior Police Officer 1 (P17,599 plus P2,086); Police Officer 3 (P15,307 plus P1,679); Police Officer 2 (P13,785 plus P1,574) and Police Officer 1 (P12,150 plus P1,342).
