A STRONG earthquake jolted General Santos City at dawn yesterday.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the magnitude 5.5 quake occurred at 3:13 a.m.

The quake’s epicenter was 22 kilometers southeast of the city and was of tectonic origin.
