WHAT is wrong with killing a cockroach? 

This is the question that continues to boggle the mind of a 17-year-old housemaid who filed a complaint against her Chinese employer for physically abusing her. 

The maid, identified only as “Louise,” told the Manila Police District-Women’s and Children’s Concerns Division, that  her employer identified as Manuel Chua, 56, a businessman, of 2062 Manley’s Mansion, C.M. Recto, Manila, kicked her repeatedly, pulled her by the ear and that as a consequence, she runs a fever every night.

At around 8 a.m. of April 6, the complainant said Chua ordered her to open the gate. While walking toward the gate, however, the maid said she felt something moving inside her pants.

As she wiggled the thing off, it turned out to be a cockroach, so that Louise killed it by stepping on it repeatedly.

This, she said, angered Chua who proceeded to kick her several times and then pinched her ear and then pulled her by the ear.                                                       

The complainant went home and narrate her ordeal to her parents who accompanied her to the MPD.
