At least 10 heavily-armed men in police uniform allegedly hijacked a truck containing P5-million worth of assorted goods in Caloocan City last Monday.

According to Reynaldo Pula, 39, of San Pablo, Laguna, driver  of  the  10 -- wheeler truck (TWX-333),  the crime took place along MacArthur Highway, Caloocan City at 4 a.m.

Pula said he and helpers Julito Binabay, Albert Ular and Joseph Pavilani, were on their way to deliver the goods to Boyan Trucking in Acacia, Malabon City when the suspects, separately aboard an old model blue FX and motorcycles, blocked their path.

Armed with high-caliber firearms, some of the suspects boarded the truck while the others served as escorts.

Upon reaching Sta. Quiteria Road, Caloocan City, the suspects ordered them to get off.

“Sa takot namin, nakalimutan naming gisingin si Pavilani na natutulog sa truck at nakasama ng mga suspects sa pagtakas nila,” Pula told investigators.

Caloocan City Police operatives headed to the area, hoping to catch the suspects but they failed.

Authorities believed the suspects belong to the group which also robbed several establishments in Metro Manila last year.         “Nagpalamig lang at umatake ulit sila,” investigators theorized.
