CAMP Olivas, Pampanga -- At least 10 kilos of high-grade shabu worth P200 million were recovered by authorities inside a Nissan car abandoned on MacArthur Highway in Apalit, Pampanga, early Thursday afternoon.

Pampanga police director Senior Supt. Rodolfo Recomono said the illegal drugs stuffed inside a travelling bag was found by his men at the back compartment of Nissan Lec Sedan (TLX-665) abandoned along the road in Bgy. San Vi-cente at 1:24 p.m.
“The drugs were contained in several big plastic bags, sealed and placed in a white bag,” Recomono said.
Recomono said they were able to recover the illegal drugs through an informant who was tipped off by Raymond Dominguez, an inmate at the New Bilibid Prison who was incarcerated due to carnapping charges.
Dominguez confided to the tipster, who happened to be his trusted friend, the presence of the drugs inside the abandoned Nissan car. He said the illegal drugs belonged to Chinese national Wang Cuo Cuai, also known as Ryan Ong, a fellow inmate currently serving his sentence at the NBP for illegal drugs violation.
According to Domin-guez, he was tapped by Ong to dispose the illegal drugs but instead of doing it, he opted to seek the assistance of Recomono through his trusted friend in recovering the illegal drugs.
Dominguez further said that he doesn’t want to implicate himself in the distribution of illegal drugs so he asked his friend to seek police assistance.
When asked by reporters about the identity of the “trusted friend” of Dominguez, Recomono declined to reveal his true identity for security reasons.
Meanwhile, six drug dealers in Baguio City were arrested by police in separate operations over the past two days, Cordillera Police Regional Office director Chief Supt. Elmo Francis Sarona reported yesterday.
One of the suspects, Ariane Norman Dollaga, 35, computer technican, of Kamagaong St., Woodsville Subd., Camp 7, was arrested in a convenience store at the junction of Bokawkan and Naguilian Road past 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Sarona said the suspect was placed under arrest after he sold a packet of shabu to an undercover officer. When frisked, Dollaga yielded another plastic packet containing P52,000 worth of the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine’ and the two marked P500 bills paid to him by the poseur.
Another sting in Bgy. Lourdes led to the arrest of Ernesto John del Rosario, alias ‘Rocky,’ 34, of Pinget, Baguio City, said to be a member of the Sadeek Drug Group. Recovered from the suspect were a packet of shabu and the boodle money topped by a marked P500 bill. The suspect’s Adventure taxi (AYT-513) was impounded by the police.
Suspects Akii Velasco, alias ‘Akia Velasco’, and Tyron Briones were arrested in Middle Quezon Hill for possession of three sachets of shabu. Velasco was described as a top drug target of the Baguio City Police Station 1.
On Thursday, police arrested Erwin de la Peña, 25, Marvin Valenton, 34, and Mark Anthony Cariño, 21, during a buy-bust operation on Legarda Road. They yielded four packets of shabu.
Sarona said the suspects are now facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
