Manila International Arirport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Ed Monreal yesterday announced that the more than 30 million travelers who use the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) every year will now have access to high-speed Internet.

Monreal said the MIAA recently upgraded to carrier-grade Wifi the connectivity services in the airport terminal and that all four terminals of NAIA now each has a backhaul capacity of up to 1 gigabit per second, providing up to 3,000 concurrent users of seamless digital experience in checking their social media accounts, email, or keeping connected to home and office while traveling.

Among others, those who always like to be in the loop on the status of their flight, the weather and other updates relevant to travelling are to benefit in the upgrade.

For OFWs, they will be allowed to maximize the remaining time they have before their scheduled flight to connect with their family.
