CALOOCAN City Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan ordered all the city hall employees, particularly the local traffic enforcers to wear a crash helmet when they are driving a motorcycle.
The directive of the city chief executive was the basis of the memorandum order signed by Department of Public Safety and Traffic Management (DPSTM) officer-in-charge Engr. Gilberto Bernardo instructing all the local traffic enforcers under him to wear helmet when driving a motorcycle.
Malapitan said that every time he travels around the city, he usually noticed, that motorcycle riders and even local traffic enforcers were traveling along the main road without wearing a crash helmet.
“Marami na rin akong natanggap na reklamo sa hindi pagsunod sa umiiral na batas tulad ng hindi pagsusuot ng helmet gayung madalas mangyari ang aksidente sa mga nagmo-motorsiklo,” Malapitan said.
