DRINKING coffee can do a lot of amazing wonders.
Coffee can help reduce your risk of Alzheimer's, keep cavity-causing mouth bacteria at bay, and it lowers the chances to develop Type 2 diabetes. And most of all, drinking your coffee help jumpstart your metabolism.
However, there’s a risk if you take your coffee at the wrong time.
According to a recent study in the journal of Behavioral Neuroscience, the caffeine in a cup of coffee cannot sober you up. This pertains to people who drink alcohol and later take coffee to regain reflex.
Caffeine decreases the sedative effects of alcohol but it doesn't improve cognitive function.
One may feel sharper after a cup of coffee, but a person is actually still tipsy and, possibly, more dangerous. The reaction time is still slow and the decision-making skills are on the fritz.
Even though you're more likely to think you can drive a car or speak your mind, you should actually just stay put for a while.
