Macway Cup to Mustangs

MACWAY Mustangs emerged as the first-ever champion in the BBL-Macway Cup basketball tournament.

Led by  ex-PBA players Nino Marquez and Bonbon Custodio,  Mustangs brought down Macway Warriors, 107-97, to capture the title at the Cloverleaf gym in Guadalupe, Makati City.

Marquez and Custodio provided the 1-2 punch for Mustangs, who turned a closed contest into a rout behind a furious third-quarter perfornance. 

Marquez finished with 28 points while Custodio, who was named  Finals Most Valuable Player, added 23 points,  eight rebounds, eight assists and four steals.
    
Pol Santiago was voted as regular season MVP.
    
With Santiago in the Mythical Five are Marquez, Alvin Vitug, Mark Fampulme and Ian Garrido.
   
Earlier, Macway Dark defeated Macway Light, 87-76, in the Macway All-Star Game.
   
Floyd Dedicatoria finished with 14 points, seven rebounds, two  assists and one steal.
   
He was named as All-Star Game MVP.

3 on 3 Champions -- Pol Santiago, Jeff  Sanders, EJ Feihl, Daniel Martinez.
   
Businessman-sportsman Erick Kirong awarded the trophies to the champions.
   
The two-month  long   tournament  is organized by  the Brotherhood  Basketball League (BBL)  sponsored  by Macway Travel Club,  Adela SDK Foundation,  K-Jeds   Enterprises, Pedro M.  Kirong  family, Francisco  C.  Dolatre family  and Mario H. Garing family.
