ELEMENTS of the Philippine National Police- Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested a most wanted member of Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) carrying a monetary reward of P.6 million during their operation yesterday morning in Zamboanga City.
The suspect, identified as Adam Mahamdom, alias Adam Muhadam and Junior, was arrested at around 10 a.m. at Zamboanga Public Market.
The suspect was arrested based on a warrants for kidnapping and serious illegal detention issued by Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 9 in Basilan.
The suspect was involved in Lamitan siege and Tairan kidnapping in 2001 and has a monetary reward of P600,000 as per DND Joint Order on Reward Number 15-2012 dated Nov. 8, 2012.
The suspect was detained at Zamboanga City Police Office for proper documentation.
