CAMP Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet -- In line with presumptive President-elect Rodrigo Duterte's marching order, a mandatory drug test is being implemented for members of the Philippine National Police, including generals.
Police Regional Office-Cordillera (PRO-COR) director Chief Supt. Ulysses J. Abellera led the drug test immediately after the Monday flag-raising recently at PRO-COR in Camp Dangwa, La Trinidad, Benguet, conducted by the Regional Crime Lab office.
The drug test conducted on Friday yields negative result for THC-metabolites and methamphetamine, both dangerous drugs, which is an indication that Cordi cops prove their dedication and commitment to police service, to serve and protect the people of the Cordilleras.
PRO-COR is not only conducting intelligence operations against civilians involved in wrongdoings but also in a serious fight against erring policemen especially their involvement in illegal drugs.
PRO-Cordillera leadership is appealing to the public to support the government’s campaign to minimize, if not eradicate, the growing drug menace in the country.
