Boy, 5, dies in deep well fall

A five-year-old boy died when he fell into a 30-meter deep well in Transville Homes Aubd., Bgy. Banay-Banay, Lipa City.

Police identified the victim as Prince Daniel Wayne Laluna Cabrera, of Transville Homes Subdivision.
   
The incident occurred at 5:30 p.m. of January 1 at 6 a.m. and was reported only on Jan. 4 by Precious Cuevas Laluna, mother of the victim, accompanied by Kennedy Cuevas Laluna and Wendy Cuevas Laluna, to the Lipa City Police station.
   
Reports said the victim was playing outside the house of a certain Gener Percil Macalinao in Transville Homes Subdivision at 5:30 p. when the young boy accidentally fell into the dry 30-meter deep well.
   
During ocular inspection by SPO1 Ronilo Canaman Balita, PO3s June Olave Gonzales and Ramil Olocoloc Malipol, the well had a roof covering which did not notice while playing and fell into it.
   
The victim was pulled out from the well and rushed by local residents to NL Villa Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival by an attending physician due to serious injuries.
   
The body of young victim now lies in their residence.
