Cop responding to commotion shot dead, 3 suspects killed

A POLICE officer was shot dead while responding in a trouble created by four siblings allegedly involved in illegal drugs trade a few hours before Christmas Day in Cebu City.

The slain officer was identified as Senior Insp. Alexander Nunez, officer-in-charge of Catmon Police Station in Cebu City.
   
Three suspects, identified as Ricardo Jason, Carlito Jason and Camilo Jason, were also killed in the incident.
   
Reports said the incident occurred at around 4:15 p.m. in Bgy. Fuente Carmen, Cebu.
   
Accordingly, the police officer was about to go home to prepare for noche buena with his family when he learned about the commotion.
   
As the police officer tried to pacify the commotion, Carlito Jason shot him but missed. He returned fire, killing Carlito.
   
Seeing their brother killed, Ricardo shot the police officer several times while his two brothers were holding him.
   
Responding policemen arrested Carlo and Camilo while Jaime managed to escape.
   
At the police station, Ricardo grabbed the firearm of a certain SPO4 Masocol but before he could fire, other policemen shot him dead.
   
Camilo also did the same thing and was also killed by the policemen.
   
Police record showed that the suspects were listed in the drug personalities list.
