THE Philippine National Police (PNP) transferred the custody of Eastern Visayas confessed drug lord Kerwin Espinosa to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Wednesday night.
At around 11 p.m. on Wednesday, the PNP Anti-Illegal Drugs Group (AIDG) facilitated the transfer of Kerwin from Camp Crame to NBI in Manila.
The self-confessed drug lord asked the authorities to ensure his safety adding that he appreciated the effort of AIDG in taking care of him during his stay in their custody.
He added that he felt secure during his stay at the PNP-AIDG even though his father, the late Albuera Mayor Roland Espinosa died in the custody of policemen during the Anti-Illegal Drugs operation of the PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Region 8 inside Baybay, Leyte detention cell.
The young Espinosa stressed that he also wanted to be put under the Witness Protection Program to ensure his safety.
Espinosa is hoping that the NBI will also take care of him saying that he is also afraid of his life.
