THE King of Sports 10-ball winner-take-all billiards crown belongs to Edwin Collado.
Collado edged close friend Paul Padron, 7-6, in their winner-take-all final to capture the title and the top prize of P10,000 at the KoS Restobar, G/F Pacific Century Tower, Barangay South Triangle, in Quezon Ave., Quezon City last Nov. 16.
The pride of Caloocan City was very happy for the victory.
“I have been joining billiards tournament before, but this is the first time that I won a title,” said Collado, who started to play the sport at a very young age but stopped briefly when he started to raise a family.
“Actually, my friends have been encouraging me to continue playing billiards. I am also very happy that I went up against my friend (Padron) in the final,” added Collado, who vowed to continue his campaign in billiards tournaments in King of Sports.
Billiards action continues at KoS with the 9-ball, winner-take-all tournament on Nov. 23 and the 10-ball winner-take-all tournament on Nov. 30.
