Anti-illegal drug operatives of the Quezon City Police District gunned down two drug suspects in a buy-bust operation in Bgy. Manresa yesterday morning.

Acting QCPD director Senior Supt. Guillermo Lorenzo T. Eleazar identified the slain suspects as Charlie Lorenzo, alias Balugoy, and Telemaccus Esmilla, alias Patik.

The two were reportedly known drug pushers/couriers in Cubao, Botocan and nearby areas and were on the drug watchlist of Bgy. Manresa.

Eleazar said elements of District Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (DAIDSOTG), led by Supt. Godfredo K. Tul-o, and District Special Operations Unit (DSOU), led by Supt. Rogarth Campo, conducted a buy-bust operation at 1:15 a.m. against the two suspects on Banawe Panalturan St., Bgy. Manresa, QC.

An operative acting as poseur-buyer handed over the P4,500 buy-bust money to Esmilla while Charlie handed to the operative the three plastic sachets of shabu. After the transaction, the suspects, sensing the presence of other operatives in the area, drew their guns and fired at the lawmen. A shootout ensued, killing the suspects.

A scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) team, led by Ben Corpuz, recovered from Lorenzo’s possession a sling pouch containing four plastic sachets of shabu, P4,500 in buy-bust money and P200 personal money.

Recovered at the crime scene were a cal. .38 snub-nose revolver without serial number loaded with three ammunition and a cartridge in its cylinder, a cal. .38 Smith and Wesson special without serial number loaded with two ammunition, a deformed fired bullet and five fired cartridge cases.
