NORTHERN Police District (NPD) director Senior Supt. Roberto Fajardo ordered all city police stations in CAMANAVA (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela) area to employ intensified police operations during the observance today of All Saints’ Day.Fajardo said that the influx of large volume of people are expected to clog cemeteries and churches today nationwide to commemorate and pray for the soul of their departed love ones and to achieve zero crime rate, they have to intensify police visibility.
He likewise told his men to coordinate with their respective Local Government Units, Barangay Tanods, Barangay Peace Action Teams (BPATs) and other concern agencies to help augment the police in the Over-All Security Coverage.
Police personnel are deployed in the cemeteries and other strategic areas all over CAMANAVA to monitor the peace and order situation and the increased police visibility will also be conducted to secure and protect the properties, business establishments and other government and vital installations within the area.
“We target to have zero percent crime rate during the celebration of UNDAS in CAMANAVA” Fajardo told the four CAMANAVA Chiefs of Police.
There are a total of 30 cemeteries in CAMANAVA, 16 were located in Caloocan and Malabon, three in Navotas and 11 in Valenzuela. The NPD will deploy a total of 1,343 PNP and force multipliers are deployed in the cemeteries, Bus/LRT terminals, malls and checkpoint areas.
The District Director also advised the public to refrain from bringing prohibited items, such as liquor and bladed weapons and from engaging in any forms of illegal activities like gambling within the vicinity of the cemetery and further remain vigilant and report to the police any suspicious individual they might notice.
