CABANATUAN CITY -- An unidentified man believed to be a victim of summary execution was found sprawled beside an irrigation canal here last Friday.
City police commander Supt. Ponciano B. Zafra said the cadaver bore several gunshot wounds in the body. It was found along the Felipe Vergara highway on Purok Embuscado, Bgy. Caalibangbangan at 6:30 a.m.
Its face was wrapped with adhesive tape and its hands and feet were hogtied with GI wire.
Zafra described the victim as between 30-35 years old and wearing maong pants. He also had three tattoos on the right shoulder -- a barbwire, a JR and heart.
Recovered at the crime scene was a fired cartridge case for Cal. 9mm pistol.
Also recovered was a placard with a handwriting which said “TAGAHATID NG DROGA, HUWAG AKO TULARAN, PUSHER AKO... SPP.”
Also, two plastic sachets containing shabu were found inside the front pocket of the victim’s pants.
The victim’s cadaver was brought to the Loida Funeral Homes in Bgy. Bantug Norte for autopsy.
Police are still investigating the incident.
