FOUR more suspects in the deadly bombing that rocks Davao City two months ago were arrested yesterday morning in two separate operations in Cotabato City.
This was confirmed by Philippine Army’s Public Affairs Office (PAO) chief, Col. Benjamin Hao.
Hao identified the suspects as Mohammad Lalaog Chenikandiyil alias Datu Boi, Jackson Mangulamas Usi alias Abu Mansor, Jam, Zack Villanueva Lopez alias Haron and Ansan Abdula Mamasapano alias Abu Hamsa, both members of the Dawla Islamiya Fi Cotabato-Maute Group.
The suspects were arrested by combined operatives of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP) in the compound of Southern Philippine Development Authority (SPDA) in Barangay Tamontaka and Ilang-ilang street, Barangay Rosary Heights 7, Cotabato City.
The arrest was made based on the information provided by three other suspects who were arrested on October 4.
Recovered from the suspects were one caliber .45 pistol with defaced serial number chamber loaded with ammunition, one caliber .38 pistol, six rounds ammunition for caliber .45 pistol, five rounds ammunition for caliber .38 pistol, one piece magazine assembly for 5.56 mm firearm; three pieces of 60 mm mortar improvised explosive devices; one piece of 105 mm howitzer improvised explosive device and a hand grenade.
